Duties & Responsibilities:
- Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing participates in the promotion and restoration of patients’ heath, wellness and recovery, whilst collaborating with the medical group and multidisciplinary team members to provide optimum support to patients.
- Provide compassionate and individualized care by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients and families.
- Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against client care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse act, and other governing agency regulations
- Medication management including controlling, administering, documenting, educating patients, destruction and accounting for all medications including over the counter (OTC) medications.
- Monitor and track lab orders, outside consults and appointments, and individual patient contacts.
- Obtain and record vital signs in the EMR system.
- Perform appropriate assessments such as CIWA, and COWS and administer drug and alcohol screening/ tests and Covid testing, when indicated, follow facilities protocols for interventions.
- Perform patient intakes, which includes consents, assessments under the direction of the Director of Nursing, screenings, health surveys, questionnaires, and procedures.
- Provides pertinent communication to the Director of Nursing regarding patients status, abnormal laboratory results and any areas of concern.
- Protects clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures.
- Recognize crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions, utilizing de-escalation techniques and contacting clinical staff as needed to intervene in situations requiring professional support, increased intervention, or increased level of care.
- Coordinate with other agencies, community resources and outreach programs regarding specified care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation and administrative functions.
- Effectively communicate with individuals, groups, leadership team and the medical/ treatment team, which encompasses diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, substance abuse, socioeconomics, education levels, etc.
- Assure completion of shift assignments and tasks prior to reporting off duty.
- Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as instructed by the Director of Nursing and the Executive Team.
- Complete agency courses on Ethics, HIPAA, Universal Precautions, and any other training required by DCF/JCAHO/CARF.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Practical Nursing or equivalent
- Licensed to practice in the state of Florida
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Some knowledge of the recovery lifestyle and 12-step program preferred
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Computer literacy and excellent telephone/ email etiquette.
- Proficient in use of computer programs including EMR, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs.
- Must possess a sincere desire to serve the chemically dependent client.
- Must possess the willingness to work as a member of a team.
- Must adhere to the professional ethics and guidelines of this agency.
12-Steps Peer Recovery Advocate
Serenity Springs, LLC is seeking to hire a highly motivated Recovery Advocate at our male-only alcohol and substance abuse rehabilitation facility. Our core program is derived from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous with solid clinical programming that incorporates evidence-based therapies and holistic treatment modalities. This is an excellent entry-level position for those individuals seeking a future in recovery treatment. Candidates must have had personal 12 step experience to work the steps along male addicts in recovery.
Duties & Responsibilities may include:
- Work the 12-Steps alongside residential rehab population.
- Provide support, supervision, and skills training individually and in group settings. This may include coping skills, relapse prevention and community building.
- Coordinate with other agencies and outreach programs
- Monitor and report all client challenges to the clinical team.
- Coordinate daily facility operations, including required monitoring, walkthroughs, and room searches of facility and patients.
- Transport clients and courier patient necessities to and from the facility.
- Receive and refer telephone calls to clinical staff, admission staff as appropriate.

Qualifications:
- Men in recovery with experience similar to the individuals seeking treatment at Serenity Springs
- First-hand knowledge of the recovery lifestyle and 12-step program and ability to help others work the steps.
- Experience working with individuals and families impacted by Substance Use Disorders
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other personnel and/or service providers and professionals
- Acute observation skills.

Business Development Representative
Serenity Springs, LLC is seeking to hire an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Representative who strongly desires to help change lives. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with adjacent organizations and communicating our treatment opportunities. This integral role will develop initiatives and focus on building the census at our facility.
Located on 38 acres of lakefront property in Edgewater, FL, Serenity Springs Recovery Center has been in operation since 2011. Our core program is derived from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous with solid clinical programming that incorporates evidence-based therapies and holistic treatment modalities. Our individualized treatment plans and top-quality services allow us to provide the highest level of care to help our all-male clientele embark on a successful recovery journey and reclaim their lives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed admission targets
- Establishing influence in market segments including: physicians, case managers, social workers, hospitals, professional organizations, mental and health centers through phone calls, personal visits and emails
- Research, develop and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources that lead to patient intakes.
- Organize and host tours for prospective clients, families, and organizations.
- Assist with coordination of alumni events.
- Attend marketing events to promote the company.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in a similar sales and/or outreach position
- Knowledge and experience in the field of substance abuse treatment
- Knowledge of Big Book programs and various therapeutic modalities
- Your own vehicle, a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to maintain independent projects and hit targets
